  • PRE-REGISTRATION
The first step to take courses at Francis School is to pre-register. In this process you fill out the registration form on-line or by mail/fax. There is a one time non-refundable fee of $25 for all new students. Along with the registration fee send your high school transcript to the Francis School (please allow 5 business days). If you pre-register on-line you can mail in your transcript and fee together or seperate. If you pre-register using the mail-in form you may also send the pre-registration form, transcript and fee at the same time.

    Francis School
    Attn: Pre-Registration
    4240 Amboy Road
    Staten Island, NY 10308

    Fax: 718-227-7766

Upon receipt of your transcript (please allow 5 business days), we will evaluate it to see what courses you require. You will then receive an email detailing your username, password and what courses you need to receive a high school diploma and a suggested time line for completion of these courses.

Students must be at least 18 years old to enroll in the diploma granting program.

    REGISTRATION
Once you receive your e-mail confirmation containing username, password and suggested course list, you may then register for these or other courses at the registration page. If you are paying by credit card you may register on-line. If you are paying by check or money order you must mail in the form accompanied by the payment. Mail to:

    Francis School
    Attn: Registration
    4240 Amboy Road
    Staten Island, NY 10308

    Fax: 718-227-7766

During the registration process you will select what courses you would like to take. You do not have to take all of the courses suggested at the same time. You may register for courses at any time, however, you may not register for more than 3 courses at one time.

Once the registration is complete with payment you will receive a user-name and password to login into the student section, which will allow you to begin your course work.

    STARTING THE COURSE WORK
Once you login to your student area you will see a list of links. The first set of links is to the courses for which you are currently registered. Each link will take you to that particular course work. The other link is to a bulletin board area where you may ask questions of students and teachers regarding your course's subject matter.

The bulletin board area will allow you to view questions and answers from other students which may assist you in completing the course work. If you find your question has not been asked you can post a question. Teachers and students will then respond to these questions.

    COURSE WORK
Clicking on the course name will bring you into the course work. Once in the course, the navigation controls will be on the left side of the screen. When you click on one of the controls information will appear on the right side of the screen.

The first section of each course is an Introduction. Here you will find the grading scale, suggested timeline and additional resources.

The following sections are the Units of Study. Each course is broken up into multiple units. Each unit will contain lessons, activities and exams.

    COMPLETING A LESSON
Each lesson will have an activity to be completed. The lesson will have links to websites and instructions to help you complete the given assignment.
